Crossing the "Line"
Hey guys and, I hope, gals! Moved up from the Deep south over the fall last year and have spent the better part of that time just getting my bearing with my new job.
I love to go fishing. I caught my first by hand when I was just an itty bitty lad of 5. Been as hard at it as I could since. Salt, brackish, or fresh...Rivers, lakes, or streams...If there are fish, I'm game to give it a try. Like they say, "A bad day fishing is better than any day working".
So, here I am. Left all my fishing buddies high and dry. Left all my honey-holes, too. But I still got the fever. I was doing my research into licenses and regs in NY state when I discovered Striped Bass as a premiere fish hereabouts and then I started getting an idea of size, which honestly isn't helping my temperature any. I hope I hook something before I burn slap up.
Anyways, it's great to find a forum to talk fishing and I hope to add some new tricks, gear, and stories to my arsenal. I'm looking forward to learning from this most awesome repository of knowledge and the fabulous braintrust that has put it together. Thanks.
