Edward Medard Lake

I have recently started fishing for hybrid stripers but have yet to have any luck, the closest body of water with stripers to my house is Edward Medard Lake. On my two trips to this body of water I have yet to catch a single hybrid, from everything I was able to find online the lake should be one of the better places in Florida to try to catch them so I must be doing something wrong. I have tried crank-baits, minnow-baits, spinner, jigs and even chicken livers. If anyone has further insight on how/where to catch hybrids on Medard Lake or any other good locations to try to catch them in Central Florida it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

some info on crank baits in the second search
Small deep-diving crankbaits and vertical spoons like the Sidewinder are proven sunshine baits
A might be a good idea to hire a guide on that lake. It will likely save you time, effort and money in the long run.
