Re: fluke point pleasant Norma K
Vacationing in ocean Beach last week. decided to take grandpa out fluking. Very hot day last week, had to get a comfortable boat with air conditioning as he is 74 yrs old. Went on the Norma K... point pleasant $40 nice boat, a/c , courteous crew, a bit crowded, not much action on the boat..caught 2 sea bass keepers, and one 20" fluke. Grandpa caught 2 seabass also. we must have hooked 50 freakin skates...it was getting annoying at how the skates were biting.
The highlight of the day is a kid of about 14 hooked an approx 5 foot long thresher shark. which came jumping out of the water twice along side the boat putting on quite a show before snapping the line.
would have been nice to see him land a shark on a fluke rig!!
