Default Upcoming fall run

So i have been watching this site closely for the past few months and noticed that there have been VERY few posts... I wonder if this means all the fisherman are gone... or they are just lurking.... Oh well whatever.. Just curious how everybody did in the spring and any thoughts on the fall run... Ive been watching the water temps and they are slooooowly dropping which is my light at the end of the tunnel.. Also I have noticed a significant drop of the amount of bunker in the water this spring from last. Well feel free to share any thoughts you have... I just needed to post something so I can start to get back into the groove of fishing!!!

I also noticed a slow spring run.... the waters in NY harbor are still a mess from Sandy... Staten Island still has some wrecked boats on the shore (which is inexcusable!!!!) oil and gas are also still present in the water here. Seems like it got absorbed into the mud and is slowly being released. I noticed it when i was crabbing, everywhere I would drop a pot you can see the oil rainbow being released...

Thumbs up Re: Upcoming fall run

The Raritan Bay has been coming alive as of last week. Been doing pretty good with blues and Bass. This year has been a crazy year and has not been following normal run times. You just seem to have to be in the right spot at the right time.

its the darn weather, its just crazy, 2 weeks ago I had 39 degrees while the past few days have been 80, 85 and one 90 degree day....Raritan Bay temps are nearly 70...WTH ??? Not only that but the winds have not helped, either you get blown outta the wazuuu or not enough wind. Maybe the new moon this week will wake them up, need that cooler weather to roll in. Reports of night eeling when water temps are lowest is when the bite has been most active. More than enough sea bass out there and the those tog are waking up to !! Been bad for Bonita/Albies thus far.....I don't blame it on Sandy, I blame it on these bizarre weather pattern the last couple years which is surely wasting my money keeping my boat in the water.
