Default 2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish

Well the fish were biting again which was awesome. We had to throw back a number of smaller ones, boated 8 in total topped with a #22.7 fish.

The three of us placed 3rd,7th & 8th (it paid back 10-spots) add in another friend of ours got 9th ... which means we took 4 out of 10 spots on the money board

It was a beautiful day out there and we have sooooo much fun doing this derby every year.

Fishing overall is hot right now and this week should be awesome out there ... as well as next weekend.

Default 2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish

The alewife's were still popping early but as the night progressed they shut off. Ended the day with 2 stripers approx. 24 inches and about a dozen or so in the 10 to 15 inch range from 8 pm to 2:30 am. The wind last night didn't help us much, it made for a hard time keeping the bait out. Ill keep cbaker and the rest of you outstanding fisherman posted on my next outing.

Got delayed on the NJ move so I was happy to get out Sat (thanks Nate, I hailed you and guess you weren't out) and launched at 5:30 had a few small up by the NBB then the boys showed up at noon and I did a return to the dock what a mess folks there were cursing at each other, threatening to fight. and it was just as bad at 6:30PM when I came back in. So anyway I take the boys out along with ANTON NYC & RODREAPER. We travel up to the rich side of the Ghetto a bit north of the NBB fishing with the rest of the fleet. Oh by the way why do you toss anchor when you see 20 plus vessels all drift fishing and heading right to you? If your reading this then you know who you are! But back to the story, all morning I marked fish & had two good run offs and some schoolies, but around 12:50PM the bite started and kept up steady till after 2PM we along with many others ran out of Bloods, but we did boat over 20 fish just in the afternoon till the bite dropped off around 4:00 we just kept hooking and throwing back hoping to get a bigger fish. We each kept our one, all Bulls. Anton was having a gas milking them overboard I cant way to see the video! In all a great day full of Fish, cheer, fun and sun. It was also good to see the DEC at the ramp too.

Went out again Monday the 17th. Got a little wet off and on due to a front moving through but had success. 2 small cats early afternoon, and 2 20in stripers on sand worms late afternoon. Threw tubes and traps off and on all day but still no reaction bite yet for me. I got pics but this forum frustrated the hell outta me. if anyone wants to host them for me I'll email them....

Harbor Tackle, West Ocean City, Md. Fishing Report for May 20, 2010
Stripers are being taken from the surf at AI and North Ocean City. Mixed with the stripers are dogfish, skates, blues, sand bar sharks. The most productive bait has been fresh bunker, live peelers and sandfleas. A couple of my customers told me the flounder catch is getting better, however, not many keepers. Best places to look for flounder have been the south bay from the airport down. The striper bite has been on at the Rt. 50 Bridge at night along with the shad. Blues were at the Inlet last night. Some nice tog are still being caught and the creel limit has gone down to 2 per person per day with a 14 inch minimum.
Congratulations to the following: Tim Adle of Bel Air, Maryland with his 15 lb 10 oz 36 inch striper taken from AI on fresh bunker. The team effort of Phillip and Kathryn Allen from Hagerstown, Maryland produced their 16 lb 10 oz 35 inch striper hooked up at Assateague using fresh bunker. She casted and hooked up the fish. Kathryn gave the rod to her husband as the fish was too large for her to fight and Phil beached the striper. Bill Goins came in with a 38 inch striper also from Assateague.
Harbor Tackle has fresh bunker, live bloodworms, live green crabs, live eels, black saltys, live chowder clams, big live minnows, and live peelers.
