yup...to see them all in person is a completeley different experience...the scale pattern detail on ricks plug is absoluteley insane..and rocs jointed bottle plug is enough to make you cry...and when you swim it...hang on to your shorts. the ed white danny plug is definetley kick ass every time i look at it i tend to drool..and jollymons bunkerish rendition is very fishy indeed...i love the colors on that plug...the pics do no justice.

Very nice! Jollymon & Jim those plugs look awesome, and of course Roccus' plug is nothing short of astounding.

I have to say,,, Ed White & Rickski both sent me one of their swap plugs a while back (thanks again!) and they both have caught multiple fish already. Aside from looking sweet, the action on Rickski's white plug is nothing short of wicked, and the purple/black of Ed's plug has been good to me at night.

Ed, it tends to roll out and surface on retrieve. Not sure how to tune it right. I bent the eye up a little and it seemed to help it dig in a little better but still getting some roll out. Any suggestions? Hasn't stopped it from catching fish though

Danny style plugs are supposed to roll. They also need to be fished very slowly, best in calm water, that is the reason that blind ones outfish ones with eyes, that said, two things you can do, go up one size on the front hook only, the keel effect will help stabilize the plug, also, slightly bend the outside edges of the dive lip, this will cure any ills the plugs has that are beyond the natural action of a danny.

yup...what roc said....a painfully slow retrieve keeping it on the surface is how you want it to swim...almost like a jitterbug in freshwater...be ready for the top water explosion.

did i mention i threw the jointed bottle plug last saturday night into the canal?...yeah...first cast i sent it out about 30 yards and let the current take it over one of the mussel beds and it just hung there pulsating the rod tip, letting the current do the work. it wasnt there ten seconds and it was crushed by the only bass i managed to find....first friggin cast...i bet if i threw that plug all night i would have caught more fish..but i am petrified of losing it.

Well, First things first:
Bait, congratulations on actually catching a fish on one of my plugs, I know how hard that can be! That Danny is a copy of someone's copy of a Beachmaster, and yes it rolls, and will roll out in a good current, where I fish, I just drag it slow on top, slinky like a snake, making a wake. I haven't caught on it yet, 'cause all the fishing has been in broad daylight with the bass crashing bunker pods, right in front of you, if you're lucky. My pencil poppers have been getting a workout ( The one's I managed not to lose)
I hope to try it out soon at night after the silly blitz fishing is over.

I have to admit that I have not even taken Roc's plug out of the bag it was shipped in, I will fish it, but so far I'm having too much fun showing it to people who might recognize it for what it is, and watch them go "OoooH" and "Aaaaaaaah".
Jimi's, Rick's and Jolly's plugs all swim very nice, look great, and have all earned a spot in the plugbag rotation.
I will report back, after pencil-popper season goes away. It's been like this lately.....drive up and down the beach, find the pod of bunker with the splashes in it, and go throw pencils at it. You're probably going to catch. I went away for 4 days this week, when I got back, I went out searching, found no bait for 2 hours, pulled up at one of my usual haunts, saw bunker just out of casting distance, threw pencils till I got an 18 lb'er, bunker moved off and the fishing was over. Just like that. Great when you find them.
