Default 2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish

Hey Gang I'm new to the forum, was up in Marshfield a few days this week fishing the Run and Gun Bluefin Classic - no tuna to show for our efforts Day one or two but we did have a few Bass nail our jigs.

Fishing out of Green Harbor.

Conditions where good, water was clear lots of life whales, birds, small tinker macs. Water Temp was 67 in the morning and 73 end of the day.

Default 2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish

Fished early AM in the PJ area; noticed a lot of birds diving but far out in the bay. Casted some left-over porgy heads on a dead stick and gulp sand worms on my main rod. At about the third cast, ZZZZRRRRRMMM, Fish on. I thought I have a 10lb blue fish as this was taking line. Then it occured to me this had stripes on!! 29" keeper in August!!

First keeper in 2 weeks from me.

Went back early this morning to a secret spot uncle Billy found and I had non stop striper action until 7 AM!! They were going nuts for the Gulp Stinky Worms!! I caught about 10 schoolies ranging about 20" - 24" and one 29" keeper for the family barbie.

I took some pics, and I also dated one with business week for any non believers!!!

Fished PJ Bay area early AM today;

Started throwing the "stinky" art - live worm combo, and BAAAM BAAM BAAM BAAAM had fish on the first 4 casts. Three stripers measured 27" !!! and the forth was about 24". I wonder if I caught the same 27" fish again, as it was coming back for more worms!
Bite died down by 7:30 AM.......>>

Default Re: Pine Point Area Fishing from Boat

Haven't been out fishing on the boat much at all lately this summer, but gave it a shot the other evening and at last I ran into a school of Stripers swirling on the surface. At first I thought they were just Sturgeon because they were earlier jumping out of the water all around me. So I threw a live eel right into the swirls to see what would happen and sure enough they were Stripers and very eager to attack the bait within seconds. I would have stayed longer but it was dark/ late and some serious fog was rolling in. Not to mention the mosquitoes were eating me alive :) Only had 2 eels and caught a 30" and a 28" on the same eel. It was still alive but then another fish grabbed it and it came off the hook. Same thing happened to the second eel so I called it a night. Not huge fish but fun on medium/ light spinning gear.

Thumbs up Re: The One That Didn't Get Away

45.5"- 37lbs. My Bro, "CowBoy" had the time of his life getting this one to the beach! Now I have to eat crow until I beat him.

Default 2010 Striper Pictures - Photos of twenty ten fish

Here is some photos of stuff we have been catching this summer.
The first is my brother with a strange catch a needle nose gar, (I believe) I have always seen small ones but never one this big. The second is a skate I hung while casting for rockfish. the third is a nice rock I caught on my perch rod with 6 lb test, that was the most fun I had all summer! The fourth is my wife with our catch of the day. The fifth is some nice crabs I caught trotlining last weekend.

36 lbs 10 oz on my digital, new PB.
Now, I hope these fish stick around for a while.
