im wondering if anyone has experiance with aquaworld bait tanks. i got one very cheap. i live in georgia and water tempis 92 degrees. this bait tank is designed to recurculate the water. and it tends to have a circular flow pattern. but theres no spaybay hitting the surface. i took it to my bait shop to talk to one of the giudes. he told me this thing is useless if not insulated. whats the experts thoughts one it? i will be soon getting a cast net and catching gizzard shad and threadfin. currently im using bluegill. one other note, im new to this striper fishing but ive had great success on west point lake so far.
i have one it works fine....few things tho, make sure its large, mine is 30 gallons, and use a very large pump, move alot of water through it, i use a 1100gph pump, i have a recirculator on it too but never use it.
thanks jasonova. can u tell me what your plumming/tube set up looks like? i have what looks like a 3"x4" vertical resevoir on the outside of mine. what i think is the fill line goes into the top. and then when it gets full it starts coming out the over flow 1 1/2" tube. but then i have another tube. not sure if it was factory install. or a modification, thats the tube that has me stumped. its mounted to the tank itself 6 ft long and has a 90* inside of tank. i cant find any good pictures of this thing. i purchased it for 57.00 at and old furniture store.it was just setting in the back with 115.00 ticket. they took what i had in my pocket. so im very excited about it. it dont seem to have much flow inside the tank even with 1100gpm pump. but i also have 2 more 90 than i think is not needed. i will be removing them.
mine uses a 1"dia intake tube ,1100gph pump, the inside fitting is a 90 pointed in the direction to promote a swirl effect, it comes in on top. and has a 1.5 outflow with a screen... i'll get some pics sometime for ya(camera is at work now)
