Question Need Help!

I have 4 reels but have no idea what rods would work well for them.
I have a Penn no. 26 monofi, Penn 704, Penn 7000, and a Penn no. 9 peerless. Ive tried to get rods for reels in the past but they never seem to be a good combo. so i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for what i should look for or choose. i mainly boat fish but i do fish from shore once in a while. Thanks in advance

Bring the reels into where ever you plan to buy your rod and test it out. I know cabelas will let you do that anyday and so will any local bait and tackle shop, just see what feels good for you.

For the conventionals I'm a huge fan of the Sea Striker Contour series. Great rods for around $70

You've got a lot of choices that could work with the 704, it's one of the all time classic surf reels. To offer any feedback we'd need to know what, where and how your planning on fishing.

Ditto the take it to a store advice. Try the 704 on an 11' Tsunami Airwave, my Diawa is of similar weight and the balance is almost perfect. Try out several rods at either a Cabela's or local tackle shop find one that feels good to you. If all else fails, send me the 704.

My best,
Mike
