Default Nov 08 Server Move Support Thread

Hi all. As striperjim informed you in the Forum Updates thread, stripers247 has recently moved to a new server. The move went pretty well. There were a few major issues that were resolved last week.

The purpose of this thread is to find and resolve any remaining issues. If you are experiencing any problems, issues or errors on this website, please reply to this post and let us know.

Thanks,
The Allcoast Media Team

We will need the host for an example of a working .htaccess file for Rewrites.
The current one isnt working on the new server.

Also the attachment directory file should be a level above the root directory
configured within the admin cp and rebuilt.
Then I need the absolute server path to the file.
Attachment File Path
This file path should also be readable AND writeable by the server

This url is still a major problem and PIA
http://247.isportfish.com/phpBB2/
You have to log in again to a completely different session.
It appears when clicking the link from the control panel and probably other pathways.
One other pathway is the statistics module. I will attempt to trouble shoot it and or overwrite it and reupload.
It is not cached at least not with my browser it isnt.
But possibly it is on the server. Have the host take a look at this issue.

Below is the resolution to the above posts .htaccess file issue.
But it needs to be done on the server side.

However, with Windows, the period denotes a separator between a file's name and its extension. As a result, if you try and create an .htaccess file in Windows it won't have a name. To get around this, create a file called htaccess.txt, ftp that to the server, and then rename it to .htaccess once it's there.

It looks like we will be back on track shortly. Just a few switching server glitches that need to be resolved.
My apologies to our friends and loyal members for the inconvenience.
I noticed one other anomaly sometimes you may need to try uploading a photo two to three times before the attachment will take.

The other stuff will be fixed sooner than later.
The games may log you out if you dont make sure the url is stripers247 not i247sportfish - a temporary holding server.
either change the url or log in again if you desperately want your score saved.
You are encouraged to post here if you find stuff rather than PM me. Thanks
Jim
