Default Tournament

To whom it may concern
My name is Captain Michael Littlefield and every year we have a huge fishing
tournament in Rhode Island for a friend of ours who was killed in Iraq. For the last four
years we have been raising money by local donations and other fund raisers for the SSG
Christopher Potts Memorial Fund. This will be the 4th annual fishing tournament for the
family of Sgt Christopher Potts. Sgt Potts died in Taji, Iraq, as his unit was conducting
traffic control operations and enemy forces attacked them using small arms fire. He was
assigned to 1st Battalion, 103rd Field Artillery Regiment, Army National Guard,
Providence, Rhode Island. Sgt. Potts Died on October 3, 2004. Sgt. Potts, who died on his
38th birthday, leaves a wife and two sons.
Chris was an avid fisherman who loved to spend time fishing with his family.
The benefit will be at The Portuguese American Club in Portsmouth Sunday Sept 21
(ALL DAY). Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased at Riverside Marine,
401-625-5181, Edwards Bait and Tackle 401-846-4521 or Sam’s Bait and Tackle
There will be food, raffles, 50/50 raffles, and live music. If you cannot attend and would
like to make a donation please feel free to send donations to

In order to make this fundraiser a continued success, we need your help with raffle and
prize items. Whether it is a fishing reel, pole or anything to due with fishing, we would
greatly appreciate your generosity. IF YOUR COMPANY WOULD LIKE TO
ADVERTISE AND HELP OUT PLEASE CALL. There are over 300 anglers who
participate. I appreciate anything you can do for us. If you have any questions please feel
free to contact me directly.
