Default Thanks for the info

Mike & Ed,

Thanks for the info, guys. I have in-laws in Dennisville, so I've been to Townsend's Inlet (Ocean Drive Bridge) on the bay side. Caught a mess of blues in Oct. on a 1.75 oz. blue/nickel kastmaster bucktail.

Went back in Dec. with clams & a deadly dick and got skunked. Went over to Strathmere and caught two skates on the clams.

Looking forward to trying Stone Harbor. Been there several times (as well as No. Wildwood), just don't know where the good fishing is. Regarding Stone Harbor, do I need a beach pass (no 4x4, so I'll be on foot)?

Thanks again,

Frank K.

Hi Kag welcome to the board. South jersey sux for access if your not a resident. The only place the public can beach buggy is Island beach state Park. The rest of Beach Buggy access is only for township residents. This link might help with phone numbers and stuff for special permits. Like parking in the beach lots and fees to enter tthe beaches. https://www.stripers247.com/NewJersey.htm

Also here is some fishing coordinates for foot access at stone harbor. A hand held GPS comes in handy. :D
STONE HARBOR MARINA
39.02 74.46
STONE HARBOR MUN. MARINA 7 RAMP
39.03 74.46
STONE HARBOR SURF & JETTIES
39.03 74.45
TOWNSEND INLET PARK SO. END OF SEA
39.07 74.43

Kag

Now this is important. Giving away coordinates can be considered spot burning. This is certainly not the intention of the above post.

This information is acxcessable from the NOAA site and is intended for the general public for fishing access.. http://www.st.nmfs.gov/st1/recreatio...rvey/fish.html

Now many googhans use information to travel to a spot, muscle people and leave trash all over the beach. These are public access sites and our members are respectful to the themselves and each other. Please be cognizant of that. Thanks Jim

Default Hear ya, Jim, loud and clear

Don't worry, I'm a light traveller. I avoid other people when I fish, not gorilla them out of spots. Besides, I need as much room as I can get out there ? at least until I straighten out my casts.
