Default Croaker Have Arrived.

The croaker have made their way up the Potomac to the Wicomico River. I went out this morning and caught 10 using shrimp and squid for bait. Came home and fillet them bad boys up and will have the pan hot and will be eating good in the neihborhood!
Next week hopefully some Stripers will be on the menu with opening day being on the 19th.

They come in our waters usually in April and usually leave by August or September, some can be found scattered in the Bay areas but usually gone in the rivers by that time. I will be out in April before the Spring Trophy Rock season begins trying to get a fresh mess.

In case you have not noticed this was last years post 2008. I am planning to go this weekend now that I have my Sea Pro ready for rockfishing for next month. I took it for a shake down voyage last Sat and now she is ready. I will venture after the croakers in my lil Sandpiper CC this weekend and I will give you a new report hopefully!
