Hey Bob, Team Smack is planning on being there the first weekend in May. We will probably be at Jamestown Marina Resort. We will be fishing for smallies, walleye and stripers casting Gizz 3's and Gizz 4's during the day and then casting topwaters and Gizz 4 shallow divers at night. Finding stripers at night isn't hard, all you have to do is listen for the explosions. If there are no shad in the area you are fishing, you need to move until you find them. they will be spawning on the banks. Make your casts as close to the bank as possible and reel back slow. You will know when you get a hit!

If the weather holds its course, and we don't get any more cold spells, the fish should be heading out of the creeks towards the main lake. It seems right now the temps are about two weeks behind. I would start out in the middle to lower thirds of the creeks, and work out to the main lake. There should still be some spawning alewives at that time.

Pulling live bait behind planers from the surface to 20' deep during the daylight hours, and casting cranks/jigs after dark to shortly after daybreak should be the ticket. The fish should still be pretty tight to the banks at that time.

There are fish everywhere, but I've always had the best luck at the confluence of Beaver and Otter creeks.
