Default Topsail Getaway

Just returned from a week stay on North Carolinas Topsail Island. It was a fantastic trip and the weather couldn't of been better. As for the fishing we didn't land any BIG ones although the numbers were there and we caught an array of salt water species including bluefish, weakfish/grey trout, pinfish, spots, flounder, black sea bass, spanish mackerel, crabs, sharp nose & black fin sharks, and thats just some of the ones I remember.

I did make it out on the Atlantic with charter captain Jim Sabella as we went for sharks. We did hook into a 6 footer and got it under the boat and it broke off. We also had several mystery fish that we never got up as one can only imagine what they could of been. We did manage to boat a lot of smaller sharks and the action was non-stop.

The wife even got into the surf fishing and had a ball!

Below are some photos of the scenery from back of the house, gotta love those sunrises!

A storms a brewing

Can't wait till next year!

Thanks SR, that reminds me I did manage to catch a small redfish while surfishing with cut mullet one day.
