Re: 2013 Delaware river reports (post'em here)
Fished from 7am-6:30pm Early on was hard to go only had 2 fish to my name as of my first post but Basically as soon as I post tht reply earlier 1/2hr later the fish finally turned on. Got 2-30" back to back one on chunk eel and one on chunk bunker. Then got a 27" just an inch short and a inch to big (for the table tonight) but he went back. A lil later ended up with 21",22" (kept 1). And totaled 15 plus rats 12"-18". Something like 10-12 cats and got one tht was 36" aprox 12-15 lbs really big cat (on chunk eel) only 2 cats on clam the rest on bunker and eel. All in all stil not what I was looking for (my biggest is still only 33" this season on the river anyway).
With the way the day started ill take the results I was able to put together lots of action between 12:30pm-up to the last cast at 6:20pm. Biggest came on bunker and chunk eel slots also came on fresh bunker. All the rats came on surf clams. All the action was on the outgoing basically and bigger fish were in 32' rats were in 16'.
Pic not uploading ill try later
I think I'm breaking out the CHUBS CHUBS CHUBS next trip.

Nice day on the river. We boated a 24" on incoming and a 29.5" on the on the turn. Kind of random. We did not mark many fish. Lots of perch and a few small cats.

Were you guys right by the east side of the bridge? We stopped and fished there for a little while around 1:30.

Long day on the water. Fished 12-7. Tried north of CBB for a while and nodda. Drifted south and had a couple hits pretty deep but no takers. Saw a couple boats before the DE border and tried to see if they were onto anything. Nodda. Went into DE water and we were the only boat out there. Took a while but when the tide switched to incoming, I got a 23" fatty and 30 minutes later got a 28". Tons of bait stolen today and a few cats here and there but the 2 stripers made up for it.

Re: 2013 Delaware river reports (post'em here)
Fished below the Trenton makes bridge at low tide last night for 2.5 hours. Waded out to some of the bigger rock formations and casted into the pools out there and tried to hit the channel but the range just wasn't there. Fished between the bridges by the bridge supports on the rail bridge and of course.....nada. Fished blue/white and purple/black plugs. Talked to a few guys that were out and they said that nothing has really been hitting the last few weeks. This is concurrent with what I have been hearing all over that area. A few fish were taken on topwater lures down on the jetty last week but they were "only" 26-28 inches. Wonder if we will even see the big fish up this way this year.
Rainy weather will dirty the water a little bit so maybe they will be out looking for a snack on Thursday/Friday. who knows though...

Not in last 6 years. This year have not heard of one truly large bass yet. This is one for the record books. One angler abouve cbb did catch over 100 bass in 2 days recently but none were huge fish. Others feel that dredging at fort miflin is keeping fish down in lower river but even down there I'm not hearing about any real cows being caught not even 40" fish with any consistency. Something is truly off this year. Sandy/netters???? It kinda scares me to think maybe big D striped bass spawning stock took hit to the netters.

Re: 2013 Delaware river reports (post'em here)
So far in the 3 trips this year it has been the best I have done so far size wise, I got a 38" on Monday and a 28" my buddy got a 35" and a 33", he also broke off 1 and we missed two good runs. The day before I had one on for over 15 minutes and it pulled off under the boat, never got to see it :( and had a lightning run off as well, clicked the bail closed, line got tight, rod doubled over and boink popped off, :( The day before we had a 28" and a 32", weekend prior it was slow but I did get one 33" fish. Hoping to get back out Friday!!!
