has anybody bought this video /dvd from the striped bass academy i was wondering if it is really worth 50 bucks . IM not being cheap its just hard in this recession, im still dumpin money into gear and tackle any feedback is appreciated . id even split the cost w someone , any takers . the web site seems to offer alot.id hate to be dissappointed.
I don't think you need to get a DVD. Trial and errors cheaper. Sandworms are the most expensive thing. I like sandy bottoms or around the rocks. 1 to 2 mph tops. I use braid tied to a ounce in-line trolling weight or two ounce in more the 20 feet of water. Then of course 3 feet of fluro tied to the tube. I like t mans but theres many out there. Try a couple different colors but I like scarlet with black and purple the best. Getting it to the bottom is key and keeping it in that range. Many times I'll hit bottom with the weight and get a fish right after. Spend the fifty on tubes and sandworms instead.
thanks i like the t manns 2 ,so u didnt want to spring for the keel? r u using braid or mono? i still would like to see thhe dvd di d u check out the site? hes got some awesome lookin lobsta jigs 20 bones apiece.
I don't like the keels because they are larger and pick up more weeds. Never did look at the site and braids the only way to go. Too much stretch in mono for trolling for me at least, fish sets it without you doing anything but holding on.
