The party boats gear up in September for the fall run. Tom Gentalen's River Basin Sports Shop just went online with fishing reports and pictures for this season striper run. His reports cover the 40+ mile stretch from Saugerties, NY north to the Troy Dam.

River basin sports has a lot of the stuff you need but they may be way too far south at the foothills of the catskills.

One other sugestion . Check the beginners clinic and the striper strategies pages as well as some of the techniques for fishing other rivers and the Hudson posts.
I m not sure Ive been of much help but good luck . I hope the Albany guys will post some info to help you out. This was a fairly poor striper year in the hudson by standards set the last few years. but they are in there. thats for sure.
Good luck
