What's the story on the Posty? Putting in Alb tomorrow, should I go north or south?
Just got off the river , north of the corning preserve, river was chocolate, visibility was maybe one foot, didnt even wet a line, no herring, should clear up in a few days, I myself am staying north knowing fully well south is proly a better bet. Be out all weekend.

Its almost impossible to remember how tragic a place the world is when one is fishing.
tried the sabiki at henry hudson today with no herring. Used smelt as bait but didnt catch anything. Tried to go to corning preserve too but couldnt find a parking spot.
All day near Kingston Tried stoolie and sabiki in the main river and roundout nada.. I did see many comorants on the river however they were not feeding.
Marked some herring on the ff in downtown Albany today, wouldn't hit. Water murky and 44 deg. Cat on a sabiki with a worm, one white perch on a worm that later sacrificed its life in a vain pursuit of something bigger.
Tried jigging the esopus yesterday and today, came up empty both times. I had a few following the stoolie but they wouldn't touch my sabiki. Watched a hawk grab a herring out of the creek tho which was pretty badass. Looks like I'll be trout fishing this weekend...
herring are up to poughkeepsie. caught about 20 of em with my girlfriend using a sabiki rig on an inlet off the river.others there were catching too. just thought i let you guys know.
