Anyone have any knowledge of rules changes this year for stripers? I see the guys south of here all talking about their rules changing as a result of the East Coast States Conference wanting rules changes to reduce kept catch by 25%. I've been waiting to see what ours will be. There's nothing in the 2015 rule book. There was nothing on the state website. Are we exempt from a rules change since ours are basically about what other states have reduced to?
I dunno. I like the intention behind the slot; leaving the prime breeding stock alone. Whether it works or not, I don't know.
I think probably what needs to be done in addition to the striper laws, is better protection for the baitfish they eat. More food = more/healthier stripers.
I work in a car dealership and we freqeunly have game wardens bring in their trucks for service, I'll make it a point to ask that question when one comes in.
