LAKE MURRAY: Stripers on live herring 20-60 feet deep. Also in surface schools on bucktails, other lures early morning, late afternoon. Largemouth on a variety of lures fished around grassbeds. White perch on jigging spoons, earthworms 5-15 feet deep.

Tried em again today with live herring. Caught 3 small fish and marked scores all over. Caught one at the towers, one at bomb island, and one in front of putnam's. Beautiful day, large time!!

LAKE MURRAY: Stripers on live herring fished 20-60 feet deep in 100 feet of water. Also in surface schools on topwater lures. Plentiful catfish on cut herring, crawlers.

LAKE MURRAY: Largemouth Bass: Fair, fishing in shallow water with Carolina rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Striped Bass: Fair up the lake from Ramp No. 3 and further, using bucktails with Iceflies and jigging with spoons 8-25 feet deep. Keep eyes open for birds because baitfish and stripers are underneath.

LAKE MURRAY: Largemouth Bass: Excellent, fishing Carolina rigs, Texas rigs, top water plugs, spinnerbaits and jerk baits around shrubs and brush in 3 to 4 feet of water. Striped Bass: Good, all over the lake fish in 20 to 35 feet of water with cut bait and live bait, trolling also producing catches. Crappie: Good, around brush piles using minnows and jigs in 8 to 15 feet of water. White Perch: Good, jigging with small spoons in 8 to 20 feet of water. Good catches also with live tuffies and red worms. Catfish: Good, using cut herring and nightcrawlers on the bottom 3 to 10 feet deep. Fish are moving into shallow water. Bream: Good, using redworms and crickets around new flooded grass. Fish are starting to bed.

Striped Bass: Fair, fishing with freelining herring and topwater plugs, Sammy's and Pencil Poppers. Crappie: Fair, using minnows and jigs around brush piles in 8 to 15 feet of water and casting jigs. White Perch: Good, jigging with small spoons in 8 to 20 feet of water jigs and redworms. Catfish: Excellent, using cut herring and nightcrawlers on the bottom 3 to 10 feet deep. Bream and Shellcrackers: Good, using redworms, baby nightcrawlers and crickets around new flooded grass in 2- to 8 feet of water.

LAKE MURRAY: Striped Bass: Excellent, early fishing is best with free lines and down fishing to 30 feet. Fishing with freelining live bait, Sammy's, Striper Delight and Pencil Poppers. Also, trolling and down rods with live herring 60 feet. Trolling is fair with bucktails and hard lures. Also use lead core line with 6 to 9 colors. Recommended fishing around Beaver Dam and Susie Ebert Island.

Striped Bass: Good, try dragging free lines along banks also using topwater plugs and drifting shiners. Crappie: Good, using jigs and small tuffies around bridge pilings and brush piles. White Perch: Good, using live minnows near the bottom. Catfish: Slow. Try cut herring near the bottom.
