I would be shocked to see them so far north this early. I don't think the migratory fish have made it into the bay yet. (I could be wrong) I usually don't start catching until late March in the river. If you have a secret - please PM me lol.

There's always bass in the river all year long from rats to pigs some bass winter in our river believe it or not. And the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd year bass are plentiful in our river. The Big D is producing some quality stock numbers recently.
And yes usually I don't c the bigger fish til 3rd week in march and last year it happen a lot sooner than tht. But regardless of the situation as soon as I can I'll b checkin my spots and only time will tell.
ONE MORE DAY AND THE HOLIDAY BEGINS (and last til the end of the year)
Ps maybe I was wrong about the plant earlier cause most of the river is at or around 40-42 and the bay is 45 present real time temp I jus didn't check in on the site to c but temps looks like it should be a go!

Water still cold been catching some nice large mouth ,we need these temps to go up but i think the bass do there thing no matter what ,i fish all around tacony bridge tight lines

If anybody is heading out this weekend out of Ridley, keep in mind the bridge you go under to head out to the river is being worked on. When the tide is up you need to be in a smaller boat to get under it.

This info was given to me when I called down there, I haven't seen it with my own eyes yet.

Hit the water by 8 and the sun laughed as it walked behind the clouds, never to be seen or heard from again. The wind picked up and would not stop for 2 straight hrs....without a nibble.

Put the boat back on the trailer and headed down to the CBB to try from the pier and still not even a nibble.

Long day but we were determined to try.

I was out Friday for the outgoing and we didnt have any bites, nada. Fished the usual- bloodworms and clams. Nothing. Did see some birds taking some bait. Water was cold.

Blurred. The fine line between determination and stupidity again this morning. Took a couple left over bloodworms down to the pier for an hr before work.

Not even a nibble.

went out today at the cbb but not a nibble suprised not a catfish but also went to ups and nothing from no one maybe by next week something happen or if somebody else is catching let me know

Today went to betsy ross bridge for water temps 41 still a little cold ,water was dirty ,i was looking for any bait etc did see my first minows good sign its just a matter of time

SO I GUESS IM GONNA GO DO SOME LARGE MOUTH BASS FISHING THEY SHOULD BE SPAWNING SO I CAN DO SOME SITE FISHING I WILL BE Happy if i get a nice 7lber got a 6 last year
