small male caught today in cornwall that was milking

I caught a milking male on the 6th, but 3 males saturday that were not, and my dad caught a female on thurs thaat still had green eggs.. go figure... I think its right around the corner but am going to give it a few more shots...

We had males sperming all over the place in mid-April and the females have been mixed, some ripe & some green.

They don't all spawn at the same time anyway. Every year nice fish are still caught right into June. I'm sure it will be the same this year.

Still time to get some nice ones.

i agree plenty of time....seen 5 males caught in last few days, 1 milking....i caught a 20lb female, eggs were green....My plans is maybe go a little up north this week (depending on rain and river conditions) and end of month to make my way south to get them on the way out, and to stay away from the devil horns

My buddy had a 9 year old catch a 52 pounder yesterday south of Rondout full of eggs. I've been getting 6-8 males a day 6-14 pound range still spermin.

Wow....hope he entered in the River Basin Sports Contest.....that's 3 lbs shy of the state record. Must a been a hell of a fight.
