A really great site
I was just on
What a really great site. You want history, you got it. You want how to, you got it. One of the nicest sites i've seen in regards to the Stripah fishery on the Hudson River. I know Ian is a member here (can't remember his screen name). If you are just starting out as a Stripah addict, this site will get you into the fish.

Re: A really great site
This site rocks for sure !!!
From knowledge/tips, to locations, to laws, and past records ... it's got it all. Sure we get our share of lurkers, but just maybe they will chime in and become a part of it "all" here we have to offer.
Peace,
BB

Re: A really great site
Hmmm, what I meant was that the information wasn't buried in a bunch of threads.
I found this site earlier this year and it is on my Internet speed dial as a go to site. Even though up until a month ago, there was little activity here. I do think this is a great site, really. Thats why I keep stopping in everyday.

Welcome aboard, Frank!
This site is about to get a lot busier, as the run gets closer. I have hardly ventured here since the last run, but am starting to feel the itch like everyone else. Tons of great info here, for sure! This is the best Hudson River forum that I have found, by far.

Re: A really great site
Thanks Outdoorsman. As I poke around looking deeper then just the surface of the forums, I am finding that out.
After a quite a few year hiatus from fishing for Stripahs on the Hudson, I am now back. However, the bait aspect had never interested me in the past. A friend and I spent a great deal of time dragging lures for ole Linesides from a 17' Boston Whaler. And we caught our share in the 80's and early 90's. My largest was 30# and 38".
Are you making the trip to the VFW on Saturday?

Not me, I'm in grad school up in Maine. I'll be lucky if I even make it to the Hudson this year...but I hope to make it down there for one trip!
