Lace Tightener on Korkers

I've been looking at the korkers you don't have to tie.They have a round thing you cinch the laces tight with.Wondering how these work when sand gets into the doohicky,that round thing that locks the laces

Sand isnt really so much a problem as it being flimsy. The plastic can be crushed and broken easily.

I prefer the ones you lace up and tie. The plastic buckles on the other style is a pain and they break too quickly

I also was looking a the cabela ultra lite and
(thinking) about studding them myself.

Hi guys. I lost one of my tie ups while jumping off a jetty to release a fish. Didn't know it until my friend said look down. Boughtthe ones with the clips. No problems as of yet. I did change some of the studs. Cheap and easy to do. When coming down to buying gear. worth every cent and then some.

Your saying your boot fell off while jumping??Sounds like it was going to come off the next step you took.Not a fault of the boot.Could you say it wasn't tightened enough or it came untied,wrong size?I've seen guys walking in mudsuck and have no problem.

The lace came undone. good size I probably forgot to double knot.
It was the right size and all. Didn't lose the boot lost the korker.

The replacement ones with the plastic snaps (knock on wood) haven't failed me yet.
