what type of line to troll with
I commonly troll with anywhere from 120 to 150' of line out and was wondering what kind of line to use. Is is as simple as personal preference or do you recommend a mono with stretch in it, or a braid with no stretch. At 150' thats a lot of stretch and is it okay? I understand drag settings have a lot to do with trolling but also understand if a good size fish hits a lure hard enough the force of the hookset could tear a hole in the mouth just large enough for the fish to possibly throw the hook. How do you minimize this possibility, or do you? any advice is appreciated
