The SpaceX Corporation is trying to build a couple of launch complexes on the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge "right next to the Kennedy Space Center & Cape Canaveral." There are a number of unused launch complexes at Cape Canaveral, but they openly admit they don't want to be burdened with NASA's regulations which is code talk for environmental regulations. They would much rather destroy a National treasure to maximize their bottom line. If they get away with this here in Florida then it sets president and no National or State Park will be safe.
