courious of striper spawning season??

I was wondering when stripers start to spawn and go upstream. The big guys are in the Rariten Bay and should be leaving soon. I was thinking of going up the Hudson area, but only if its productive. I heard that the small ones are there. I love the fight that the blues give, but I'd like to prolong the striper catching season while it lasts.

Skane As soon as the water temp hits 60. Which is probably right now. it is post spawn in the chesapeake and the fish are on the beds in the delaware and the Hudson. The water will turn a milty white. Read the site. page on the Hudson https://stripers247.com/Hudsonriverstripedbass.htm

Now I know of the areas bass spawn but the big bass I see caught around here I thought were heading to spawn in river around NE ?

Ed it is my understanding that 96% of the spawn takes place in the aformentioned three. 90% in the Chesapeake. Also in the Ace system in South Carolina (Congaree river) and the California Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers.
As long as the river is 32 miles long and twice as long during heavy precip year they can and do spawn other rivers and even some conjecture about landlocked tailrace water systems.
