yea that Marine Lic def throws a wrench into the regular renewal process... I dont understand why they didnt make the Lic period the same as the freshwater lic... its just plan backwards to have to renew Fresh in Sept and then Marine in January... bothering!!

The snowing and blowing and near 0 temps sure don't make it feel like winter is almost over. To top it off the forecast of 6" to 10" of snow predicted for tonight doesn't help.

LATE TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW WINTER STORM :
A winter storm will impact the state starting late this afternoon
and continuing into tomorrow. The dashed black lines indicate
approximate start times of the snow.
3-6 inches of snow is expected tonight through tomorrow. A changeover
to sleet is likely over the southern part of 8 .
1-3 inches of snow tonight through tomorrow. Snow will change to sleet and
perhaps a bit of freezing rain several hours after the snow has begun. A change
to a little plain rain is possible in Region 8 during the day tomorrow.
A period of snow followed by a changeover to sleet and then some rain is expected.
An inch or two of snow followed by a coating of sleet is possible tonight into
early tomorrow before the changeover to rain.

Wellsley - I was out your way yesterday morning (Schoharie & Otsego county) ... it was like 2 different worlds just 40-50 miles away
I was driving through blinding white outs, must have been 5" of snow and cars off the roads. Back here it was dry as could be, just crazy.

2stripers - I hear ya, you can never be to ready ... my friends know during Striper season i'm like special ops, always ready to deploy in 24hrs notice
