Cod Gear - Will this work?

I'm a total groundfish rookie but hope to change that soon. I have a Penn 309 level wind, spooled with 50LB Power Pro, on a 6' MH Ugly Stick. Will that setup work for jigging deep?

rig it up with 30 pound black dacron and a 6 to 10 ft leader like triplefish 50# leader with 2 dropper loops with 2/0 & 3/0 mustads and bucktail and a 16 oz sinker or Norwegian rig with single siwash and you will have a decent setup
