i need a good rod for eels and other bait, mainly eels. under 50 bucks. i just want a rod that will do its job, brand would be nice. (or is that asking too much)
Check ebay under Shimano rods, Some guy is selling two 9' rods ( some sort of glass composite) 2 for 44.00-48.00 plus shipping. These rods are 2pc- rated 3/4oz-4oz. Might work for you. Give it a look see.

goin to the cape on sunday...canal, lower national seashore, do you have any bait shops with rod there and bait. i will be useing my shakespear Xterra bigwater combo, it has no lure rateing so i think ill ask someone at the shop and may have to use chunks or other small bait cuz i dont think that that rod is sensitive enough for plugging. WOW..that was a run-on
