Default Leo Almeida Memorial North Shore Ma. Striped Bass Tourney

Almeida Memorial North Shore Striped Bass Tourney
Preparations are under way for the fourth annual Leo Almeida Memorial North Shore Striped Bass Tournament. This charity event will be held Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 2-4. 2006 All proceeds will benefit North Shore area food pantries.
For an entry fee of $10, fishermen and women can compete for cash grand prizes in one of two divisions - "From Boat" and "From Shore or Surf." There is also a Junior Division for kids 15 and under. Entrants other than grand-prize winners will be eligible for a second-chance raffle, which includes more than 40 prizes donated by marine-related businesses, artisans and restaurants across the North Shore.
A dozen North Shore bait shops and other businesses have also agreed to sell entry tickets and serve as tournament weigh stations.
This one-of-a-kind fishing event is the only contest designed especially for striped-bass fishermen and women north of Boston. Last year's tournament had close to 350 entrants. In the past three years, the tournament has raised more than $10,000 for area food pantries, including the Cape Ann Food Pantry in Gloucester, Our Neighbor's Table in Amesbury and the Danvers People to People pantry.
Entry forms and rules are available at North Shore bait and tackle shops or at www.northshorestriper.com. The deadline to enter is Friday, Sept. 1. For information, contact Tournament Chairwoman Amy Almeida, 978-777-0026, or [email protected].

Default Bostons North Shore Striped Bass Tournament

5th Annual Leo Almeida Memorial The North Shore Striped Bass Tournament
Labor day weekend
September 1 to September 3, 2007
Proceeds benefit Danvers People to People Food Pantry, Cape Ann Food Pantry and Our Neighbor's Table, in Amesbury, MA

Labor Day Weekend Sept 1 - 3
Entry Fee - $10
Benefits to local food pantries.
Three winning classifications include heaviest fish caught from boat-shore-kids.
The rules and details about where to sign up (all over the North Shore and on-line) as well as previous winners can be seen on our website, www.northshorestriper.com.
My dad started this tournament in 2003, however, passed away prior to its first running, this will be the fifth annual. Although he never got to see it happen I am sure he would be happy with the results of the past tournaments. Over the past three years we have raised over $14,000 for the local food pantries.
Due to the tremendous support from the community and vendors at large we have a huge raffle for all entrants that did not win a prize in which we give away gift certificates/fishing tackle/services. So even if you don't have the biggest fish you still have a great chance to win a prize.
Thank you for your past and current support and tight lines.
Scott Almeida
