The Suffolk Parks Department is offering one of the most in-depth fishing seminars around with Sportfishing on Long Island, a course taught by Capt. Jerry McGrath. This all-encompassing 10-week series is designed to educate everyone from novice anglers to old salts, and includes tips and tricks for every species on Long Island from flounder to tuna. Classes will be on 10 consecutive Mondays beginning Oct. 18 at the Dennison Building in Hauppauge. Each class starts at 7:30 p.m. and lasts approximately two hours. The course costs $115.
