The Coast Star, a weekly out of Manasquan on Thursdays, has a column by Jim Freda of Shore Catch Guide Service. His guide service splits up in the Raritan Bay area and Manasquan/ Barneget areas. The following link will get you to the Coast Star.
http://thecoaststar.com/
Then you have to download the whole issue (18m it's big) to see the column
(the link for the download is on the lower left of the webpage.. This week, the Dec 21st edition, his column is on page 62 of 76. I like his stuff better then Ristori. Also he'll mention plugs, pix, etc that is in his Shore Catch website and helps you out even more.

Re: Stickys for the Mid Coast

here is one steve for the ambrose light. it is disabled till march or april for some reason. and again in november/december. otherwise it is a good forecast tool.
http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/buoy/ALSN6.html

if you click on "marine" in the toolbar section above it will bring you to the entire coast and click appropriate box in your area and all the buoys pop up on the screen. click any one for info in that area. i use this site for forecasting barometric pressure for the day and nite and can go back in time to see what the conditions of pressure were when i had a good hour or two of fishing. not a science but my way of seeing the big picture.

Re: Stickys for the Mid Coast

For easy access and future reference all this information is easily located through the navigation bar up top. Labled forecasts and predictions. The bouy data is indexed as the custom link # 7.

So you rally dont have to search any furthur than that link.

Click on the new york area and it will take you to the new york recent map (blue block) and bouy # 44065
