Did you take that picture of the TP Bridge? When was it taken, b/c it looks like the old fishing club ramp next to the edgly yacht club was still usable at the time of the picture or is that the yacht club ramp?

They're here now at least where I am, I've caught plenty of 22 inchers so far and had a REAL nice one on last night and lost it about half way in but they are defintely here now seeing more keepers caught everyweek

I fish in Morrisville all the time. Do you shore fish or boat?

I mainly fish from boat, but I will fish the banks here and there. Don't fish the tidal river as much as upriver anywhere from scudders falls to up above Upper Black eddy. I'm going to try to get out to the bridges this week though.

Targeting stripers during the spawn is prohibited from
april 1st through May 31st

during the months of April and May downstream from the Calhoun Street Bridge.

bait with a #2 sized hook or larger, from April 1 to May 3

Hi New Member. I am in Milford and now of guys that have caught stripers up this way. Mostly shorts 18" but there are the stories floating around of some 28lbers.

What is an appreciable brackish water species? I remember seeing an old newspaper clipping of a shark caught in Darby Creek. In years where there is little rain the salt line can move as far north as Philadelphia. Blue crabs are caught in Delaware County. I have seen flounder caught in Delaware just below the state line.
What else? How about whales and dolphins.

I find that less remarkable then the walleyes in the Delaware River in Delaware County.

It has a 10 foot tidal range and has no appreciable brackish water species

Jerkbait I believe what the Pa DFG are referring to are species that are born in the brackish water estuaries, not transient saltwater fish that venture upriver.

new to forum,but not to striper fishing stripers go north to hancock NY.I live in pike co.have caught large fish in river almost that far north and as late as early aug. farther south when their moving back down as long as the water temps. are not to warm so as to over stress the fish and possibly kill them. thanks and hello dmaxx2.

if we were to launch out of trenton and fish the trenton falls area are we good with just a pa license??
