2012 Big "D" spring fishing reports(post here)

Fished from 12:30 pm till 7 pm on the change of tides. Caught 23 inch striper and some big catties 10lbs all on cut bunker. Wind was blowing but fishable.

Nice to c u guys r keeping this thread going sorry I haven't posted in a while wheels down and I had to put my fishing partner on time out lol it's been killing me tht I haven't gotten out in weeks but i may be able to hit the river this weekend (fingers crossed).

Fished yesterday Mu and only caught big cats. Let me know if you head out and general location.

Finally heading out on the river to fish until alil after dark going out of the arsenal focusing on the bridges.....report back then...

Mu how did you make out? Your reports sometimes reflect on what others do. Post a skunk when skunked.

Sorry for the delay went from the boat to the club(s) then off to work this morning anyway back to the report....
Got on the water by 4pm hit one of my fav spots and nada so fished in between two bridges as I glassed fish jumping continuously so we anchored up and I worked the sabiki thinking they were skipjacks but no takers but keep getting 12" bass and perch so I cut the dorsal fin and live lined perch and eels and they both produced bass up to 27". Pop lost a fish much bigger I would say jus judgin on the runs it made but his knot came undone (typical) he won't use my knots!
Once the clouds moved in it got windy but right before tht things were hot in end we got 1 bass on salt herring 24" 2 bass 24"& 27" on live perch 1 bass 25" on live eel. 2 big cats around 10lbs both over 30" and several other 3-5lb cats all on creek chubs. Never did figure out Wht was jumping all over some were big but just never got a good look even tho they jumped every couple seconds for a few hours
I also believe I had a flathead cat take a perch long run stop then a small run stop and then a third smaller run and when I finally flipped the bait runner and put the breaks on it I pulled it out of his mouth and upon reeling in the perch was scraped clean of scales and had puncture wounds like tiny needles punctured his side. Either a flat or a huge channel. Idk
Lol and I can't even remember the last time my boat had a skunk lol I won't stop fishing til I catch something that's why I end up fishi alone most times cause noone wants to b stuck on a boat with me when I'm not catching cause well be out there a while.
Haven't been on the water in 3 weeks and it drove me crazy so glad to be out there.

Taking a shot again tomm after work going chub hunting for a lil while before dark. I'm back on mon-fri 9-5 so nights and weekends r mine I won't be away from the water no more for no 3 weeks tht for sure. Has anyone figured out how to post pics from iPhone onto here yet?

Went out Friday all around Tinicum island area and had a great day. all catfish but the bites were constant and caught a lot of catfish. The kids had a great time.My youngest had 1 nice run on the south side of the island but snapped his 15lb line fairly quick. all in all great day and great weather.

Hey Guys I'm headed out tmrw to the Trenton Makes... Bridge. Anyone fish around there and has some advice? I haven't had much time to fish untill tomorrow so I was hoping to get a preview of what to see. thanks

Fished around W Trenton Bridge (Morrisville to Trenton) today with extra large shiners. I caught a few Catfish ranging from 12 to 16 inches. Any one have any hot spots between Trenton makes bridge and the wing damn below New Hope?

Just north of W. Trenton Ave bridge I caught 3 caties and a 18" inch striper on chicken liver in the first 25 minutes (From Boat). It was unreal all day. The Big "D" provides yet another awesome day.

By the way whats up with you guys, no one post anything after June. Yeah maybe the stripper aren't running but they are still there.
