2012 Big "D" spring fishing reports(post here)

Fished saturday and found they are still here to my surprise. Switched baits from bloods to bunker and it was fish on. 2 28s, 22 , 20 inchers and smaller ones.

Anyone going out today wheels r down for the moment can't get out. Tryin to jump on board if anyone has space. Terrible way to go into the home stretch of fishing at home. If not I'll be out hopefully thurs or have to wait til next week.

Fished rancocas all shorts lots of perch. Keep the perch for fish fry. Mmmmmmmm

My brother in law and I fished the Delaware today, river looked great, and the fish were active, we caught 15-20 stripers in the 12-20 inch range, fish were caught on bloods, clams and bunker. We then took a ride up the skuke, caught one small striper up there and we lost count on the catties. Also had an interesting sighting, we saw a fish swimming on the surface, it was about 14" long, long and skinny and had a long thin nose, it kinda had the same shape as a ballyhoo or a needlefish. Im not sure what it was, anyone see anything like that in the skuke or the D?

was out today an caught a load of eels. yuck. 1 giant channel cat and 2 10-15" stripers. I think the bite might be over. Any one else agree?

Are you guys all fishing by the airport? I've been up at trenton a couple times fishing from the shore (PA side) and have only had some nice cats (6-10 lbs). Using bloodworms and Clams. No stripers to talk about though. Any suggestions?

you could move on up north a bit guys from belvidere are reporting fish caught. I havent had any luck in lamberville but they should be up. You could try the rocks in belmar if you like surf fishing. 45 minutes from where you are now.

Fished sat and sun caught one slot and smaller ones. Caught big catfish. I thought i post because know one else is posting. Im off this week will keep everyone posted. It seems to be over u may catch a residential striper who knows.

Well went out friday night with about 40 4-8 inch chubs with a few buddies on rhawn and state. was there from 7-2am. Boy was it a blast landed 12 stripers the biggest being 30 inches and the smallest 23. we also caught 18 catfish between 7 and 13 lbs. if you can get your hands on chubs youre in for a great trip
