Default Question-Finding Bunker schools off beach at night

I'm planning a boat trip out tonight off the beach targeting the bunker schools that are readilly visible during the day. We can not get out before midnight but hope to net or snag them and be ready for the recent dawn attacks. What are the general habits of a bunker school at night? Will they go deeper, will they move off the beach into deeper water, will they potentially be near the surface? Our plan is to slowly move along the beach and use the fishfinder to locate bunker to net or snag. Hopefully someone can offer some advise to help us narrow the search zone. Thanks.

Thanks Mike. We're going out of Manasquan, and goiing to be south of there, between Pt. and Asbury. In talking with my local Tackle Shop owner, he reminded me that the bass still target them at night so the bunker would still be on the surface if being chased and that we should be able to both see and hear them if we're in the area.

Do you fish the rocks often? We only went up that way once before, last year.
