Lake Wateree South Carolina
Lake Wateree: Largemouth Bass: Good, casting to the bank with deep-running crankbaits and plastic. A few bass have been caught on buzzbaits late in the afternoon. Striped Bass: Fair, using live bait, cut bait and bucktails. A few fish are being caught around Cedar Creek Dam. Spawning run is over and fish are moving downstream. Fish reported caught below Wateree Dam with topwater lures. Bream: Excellent, try worms and crickets fished around bedding bream. Water temperature averaging 80 to 85 degrees. Water conditions clear lake-wide.

LAKE WATEREE: Largemouth on artificial worms, deep-running crankbaits along shoreline; on topwater lures late afternoon. Scattered stripers 40-50 feet deep near dam on cut bait. White perch on small spoons, jigs, minnows.

LAKE WATEREE: Largemouth Bass: Good, casting spinnerbaits and shallow-running crankbaits. Striped Bass: Good, using cut shad, live shad and bucktails at the Cedar Creek Dam. White Perch: Good, casting and jigging Twister-tail grubs and live minnows. Crappie: Good, backs of creeks trolling Wow grubs, Sliders, Kalin's grubs. Catfish: Good, using earthworms, nightcrawlers, shrimp. Bream: Good. Try worms fished around piers with brush. Bream are starting to pick-up.

Try trolling Roostertails. White Perch: Good, casting and jigging Twister-tail grubs and live minnows. Crappie: Good, in river channels and creek mouths trolling Wow grubs, Sliders, Kalin's grubs. Also jigging around piers. Catfish: Good, using earthworms, nightcrawlers, shrimp, small pieces of cut bait and live shad. Bream and Shellcrackers: Good, using crickets, worms and artificial lures fished around piers, structure and brush. Bream bedding.

White Bass: Slow. Try trolling shad-like baits. Crappie: Fair, using live bait 13 to 15 feet deep right off the bottom along the river channel and slow trolling Wow jigs deep at edge of old river bed. Catfish: Good, live shad, minnows or worms in the creeks. Bream: Slow. Try crickets and worms deep.

Striped bass: Good. Try fishing with down-rods 10 feet deep shiners in . Alot of 5 to 6 lbsers, and some over 10 lbs on slighly larger shinners, we have been using some live and some cut bait.Big Blue cats are always biting,We have been catching then up in cedar creek at the dam.Find those deep holes and you will have good luck.

Lake Wateree: Largemouth Bass: Fair, casting spinnerbaits, worms and crankbaits on structure in deeper water. Striped bass: Good, using live shad fish in the river channel 15 to 25 feet. White Bass: Good, using small live shad and jigs. Crappie: Excellent, using minnows and grubs around piers and in shallows, also trolling and drifting with jigs. Catfish: Good, using live minnows or worms in the creeks. Bream: Fair, using crickets and earthworms in warmer areas of coves.

Tuesday we had a good day,A couple 20 plus Blues and alot of 5 to 8 lbs on shad.Water was running and fish were biting,White bass and crappie biting good.Thursday one stripper 11lbs.
