Fished the river above the ripvanwinkle bridge around the athens area, then fished the mouth of the catskill creek. No Stripers. Seen a guy from shore land one. Water temps was unofficially 53 degrees in Catskill.

Seen 6 fish taken from shore in Troy in the last two days/nites!! 20" to 24"!! I landed a nice 9# Thursday afternoon!! Ate him for dinner!!

Hey Perch, encouraging report with these water conditions - thanks! Now, say some were caught on lures and I'll be more excited...

All the stripers were on cut and 3/4 bait!! Watch out for the cormerans when using whole or live bait thay are hitting them!! One guy caught one today and had to reel it in and take it off the hook!! Biggest so far off the wall is 21#!!! Lots of bait in the creek!!
