Heading out this afternoon and I'm going to go pick up some bunker for the first time. My hooks are all either 4's or 5 circle hooks. Do I need to go bigger?
Also, how big should I be cutting the chunks up? What about the head?
I might take some clams as a backup too but I'd like to give this a try.
I haven't had much luck on the head, but some people do, I usually cut it in maybe I guess 1" or so chunks. I agree with the above, although I think right now I'm using 7/0 but I wouldn't really go lower than that. I never catch anything on the tail either.

Use 7/0 or 8/0 hooks. Cut in stripped chunks and make sure ur hook is exposed or they will spit it out. Also use a fish finder rig. I dead stick them and wait. Let them hook themselves. Fish on.
