Nice job on the plugs. I think every builder has their own twists that they add. There are so many variables, that it doesn't take much to change how a plug swims. 2 builders can make the same plug, and unless they know everything about the wood used, weighting and even the tail dressing, it will swim different. I can build 12 identical plugs and I bet one or two swim like crap. I can pick out one of your plugs from a group of plugs. The first thing that catches my eye are your tail wraps. Then your finishes, and your nose eye. After that, it's how they swim.... All make you an individual.

Re: my batch of small pikies..and a stubby
did you have difficulty producing the bottle rear or did you purposely make it look like a slopehead? it is intriguing to say the least but sure it swims well as i can tell by the way it is formed. i suppose your take on it is your own so i can only say i am pleased you take your plugs to a different extreme

You have to teach me that tail wrap technique.

"throw in another stubby" dude... keep your personal problems to yourself... this is a family program
Nice batch of cuties you got there.... that medium pikie( two hook instead of 3) is special... not alot of that style around, they only made it for a few years, when the there was a shortage of white cedar during the war, they discontinued it in favor of more lucrative sellers..that puppy has a very special quality not found in the average production pikie..
