when does the md spring striper trophy season open

Nothing in writing as yet but it is proposed on the third Saturday of April till May 15th one fish creel limit minimum size 28" then after the 15th. that creel limit 2 one 18" and one over 28" same as last and previous years on that. Still have some hunting to do then I will catch up on my honey doo list and then focus on getting ready.

OK,,, I hope someone can answer this for me? I just read on the Virginia DEM site, or one of them that it was what you said for limits, but after a certain date, catch could be over 18" to 28", and anything between 18" and 34" had to be thrown back, and anything over 34" was a keeper. Limit one under 28, and one over 34"?
Now here is my big question.....are you allowed to fish the bay before April 15th? I did not see anything stating fish before that date? I live in Rhode Island, and the season is open 12 months of the year,,, and me and a friend were planning on taking my boat to the Cheasapeake Bay the first week of March and fish, but is the season closed then?

The season in Maryland opens in April and you can not keep one till then. As for the VA regulations I will have to look it up but have never heard of this. Maryland had a crazy slot limit I believe 2 years ago but did away with it. When we can keep 2 in May, one can only be over the 28" but also both can be 18" to 28" whichever you prefer for the 2 per person limit. A little confusing!!!!

fright i think your confused with ocean fish regs the bay and the atlantic have different rules

Striper season for catch and release is now open in the flats, the next few weeks it should be getting up and going.....

main stream bay is open to c&r back bays &rivers are closed try and use single hook baits no nets get the fish back in the water fast these are,are breaders try not to stress them
