Default Newbie Needs Advice

So I just bought a 15 ft Boston Whaler Sport (1985) with a 70 HP Yaqmaha and a small 6 hp Kicker engine. I live in Newark, Delaware (about 45 minutes from the North East River (Susquehanna Flats). I'd like some advice about the proper fishing tackle -- size of pole, type of pole and reel, weight of line and type of bait for stripers. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. I took the boat out with my wife for a test ride yesterday -- launched from Charlestown Marina and it ran beautifully. I went far enough to round the point where I think the Susquehanna Flat area is...
THanks

My advice would be posting a couple of jokes in the striper room under PLUG GIVE AWAY and get yourself some free gear. Welcome!!!!
