Re: First Stripers 247 plug swap
oh...i will definetley throw some in the water. im sure i will be losing a few plugs this year too...i always do. i burned through almost thirty last season...damn lobster traps, rock piles, inconsiderate pricks running thier boats over everyone lines that are fishing from shore, cement bridge supports and cables (i dont even want to explain those few plugs) , a few forgot to flip the bail rocket launches, and last but not least...i actually lost a few to fish..i think a few blues..and i know a coupple stripers (lesson learned about matching tackle to the area fishing, actually many lessons learned...but im sure ill find new ways to lose a few this year. )

Re: First Stripers 247 plug swap
I might need a couple of extra days, all depends on the amount of honey do I get out of the way. I'm shooting the first coat of paint tonight.

May 10th is fine with me too, I'm basically done.
Hey Jim, I have 2 thoughts for you to ponder as you are making plans for your shop.
1 Dust Control. I mean DUST CONTROL!!!!!!!!! I can't say it loud enough, I work in an unheated garage, and in an effort to retain some of the heat I'm using a recirculating type of fan/filter, it was barely adequate to keep the air clean. I have since located a mega-fan to add to my system, so next year should be better
2 Respirator. Buy a good one, keep it clean, and use it. After being a beginner woodworker for the last 3 or 4 months, I would tell anyone the same thing, but especially for you, protect your lungs, you only get 2 of them.
Beyond that, a lathe and all the other assorted tools and equipment is the fun part, and it is fun.

Re: First Stripers 247 plug swap
buy a dust collector and spend the exta$$$$ on 1 micron bags you wont regret it..
add one of these to it( air purifier) and you wil have less dust in your shop than you do in your house....this was the first full season with the entire new system, I built over 500 plugs and misc furniture and trikets.... with just a minimal swweping and an ocasional dusting with a feather duster ( top of the lights) the place remains spotless...

If a Largemouth hits one of mine when I test them................................
I got the world record!
A few more coats of paint and I'll be spinning them by the end of the week.

Re: First Stripers 247 plug swap
I paid a visit to Mike at C.C. Tackle today. He's doing well and the shop is open full swing. They checked in 2 keepers this morning.
While I was there, he gave me his plugs for the swap, so needless to say he is in and I am in possesion of his plugs. I will send them to roc, when mine are done.
So I believe that makes 7 apiece if I am not mistaken?

7 apiece for the builders, and 1 for that guy that runs this website? Ya know, whatzizname?
Or is it 6 for the builders, and 1 for that other guy? Mine are basically packed ( I packed 8), with a few left over, should I need them. I can ship whenever.
