Re: What kind of striper fishing do you do?
I usually fish overnights from my little Whaler. I liove near the Cape Cod Canal, so I fish it at night too (well usually at night, sometimes b4 work in the mornings) I fish from the mouth of the Canal's west end, to Marion Harbor (for those of you who know the area) I only have one surf rod, a 10' Penn rated for 2-8 ozs. with an abu 7000 conventional on it. Man thats hard to cast at night! I want to get a spinning surf setup for night casting. For my boat I have a conventional 7' rod, a spinning 8' rod and two trolling setups. I usually fish whole pogies on the trolling setups while drifting, then cast away all night with black bombers or black sluggo's.

Re: What kind of striper fishing do you do?
Hi to all I fish Freshwater, in the California Aqueduct in Southern California. There are Catfish, Carp, and Stripers the biggest has been 62 lbs out of the California Aqueduct. Just Type in your search box California Aqueduct and it tells you all about it. It also serves as a water source for drinking, it goes through water treatment plants for Southern and Norhern California. Striper Bill

Re: What kind of striper fishing do you do?
Hi Jim where you asking me that question, if so the search engines i am on for my website are google and yahoo and 20 more and i was just looking and searching for Stripers and saw this site and that another guy caught a striper in november in 2003 and his was a 30 lb out of the California Aqueduct right here in Palmdale, and i caught mine back in April of 2002 and it was a little bigger. Not only that i wanted to know if anyone else had a website on the California Aqueduct. I was already on California hookup forums and the fishingnetwork forums! Well just posted some more pic's for today 3-18-07. I had a blast today caught total of 4 stripers today. Striper Bill

No not a question Bill just a comment. observation really. Im happy that google likes our site. We lost some steam when we crashed in late December January. The query strings all changed because we had to transfer to a new server. Most redirected. They are starting to remove the dead links and put up new ones. that makes me happy.

I'D SAY IT IS ABOUT A 50/50 SPILT BETWEEN SURF AND BOAT, BUT WITH THE PRICE OF FUEL, THIS SEASON I'LL PROBABLY BE IN THE SUDS MOST OF THE TIME

I fish for Stripers in the Southern California Aqueduct. Many years ago fished saltwater and fished many freshwater lakes in the United States. I have fished for many different fish also in Northern and Southern California. Last 30 years of my life I specialize in the California Aqueduct that is 32 feet and fast moving current it is like catching fast german browns in a fast river, using crankbaits, jigs, rubber jigs, topwater plugs and very devoted to fishing all of my life. Re: What kind of striper fishing do you do?
All Saltwater. South side of Cape Cod.(Lewis bay) Somtimes the lower cape seashore. All from shore, either beach or jetty. Tried the canal a few times but lost about $100 in gear. Oonce in a while I will hit the bass river but have had better luck in the more open water. I also have some more spots up my sleeve
