How far is your destination to travel for striperfishing?
I travel two hours to the nearest Salt and 15 minutes to the upper Delaware,
very hit and miss for Stripers up this far.
It's 40 minutes to nearest freshwater impoundment but without a boat its pretty much just a nice day out.
I have traveled - from Maine to Virginia.
Eastern long Island is 4 1/2 hours.
How far is it for you?

Generally 45min -1 hour to my favorite MA or RI destinations, but I do travel to other destinations along the coast from NY to Maine during the course of the season.

I was stupid and moved away from the ocean. Its about 2-3 hours to Plum Island or 2-3 hours to Hampton NH. I might be changing that again reel soon though!

My Favorite Spots in general are between 1.5 and 2 hours. I spend most weekends on the outer cape in the summer and even travel 30 mins there to get out to Provincetown to fish Racepoint and other locations. In general I will go anywhere and drive anywhere to chase fish.

Within walking distance to the Cocheco river & 30 minutes to the beach. It's nice to be able to stop and fish on the way to/from work...

Re: How far is your destination to travel for striperfishing?
During the spring herring run I can hear the falls from my house. Walking distance to fish.
During the summer I am 10 minutes from driveway to slip.
