Default Night fishing in Jersey (Corsons Inlet)

whats up everyone? I am new here, and hopin to get some good advice! My buddy and me are goin out tuesday night, and ive never really fished at night for bass. I am wondering what to use? Ive had decent success with clams this season and want to know if they would be good to use at night too? Also, ive heard eels? And a all black popper?

Any advice?

Hi Mink. Welcome to the board.
On the NY side guys are using bunker and they are prevalent and more consistent in large pods near the river mouths. Presumably cooler water. Netting is more difficult but plenty around to snag. Livelining and cut chunks are productive.
Eels always work at night. Clams seem to produce better for me in the spring. (Day and night) Bluefish are smaller than 2 weeks ago. But healthy choppers still lurk everywhere. The Bass are still here and will be for 2 more weeks.
The conventional wisdom says dark colors at night like black and purple and lighter when there is more light. I have had success with white poppers and atom poppers at low light but not when its dark.

I'll be happy if you're talking about Corsons Inlet in Sea Isle City. If so, also check out the Townsends Inlet on the other side of town going into Avalon. If you check out Gibsons B&T, they are great and know whats been biting.
