My son is my fishing partner and him and I are starting to have a system about everything we do on the boat and fishing. I was pretty excited to get a boat and share something with him that we love so much. I also have two other daughters and Briggs was talking about dance,I took my daughter fishing the night before her dance class and the next day she said mom I don't feel like going to dance because I want to go fishing lol. We were on stripers big time the night we went out and she couldn't bring any in because of their strength, she did hold the fish for us and released all our fish back in the water. My youngest is 5 and loves the boat, I am waiting for the weather to really break before I take her out for any period of time just for safety sake. Now my wife on the other hand likes the boat but still holding a grudge that of all the boats I looked at and could have bought I went for the center console lol... she wanted a cabin and a bigger boat.. I wanted a fishing machine. I like my CC but I think if I was to buy another I would go for someting with a pilot house and meet her half way lol... But I am having a phone booth canvas enclosure for the ttop made in August... that will keep her out of the wind when we're fishing for tog in late October
Cuz N' Eddy, Yes we (wife and I) will be purchasing a new boat in the next 2-3 years. I can easily see myself in a nice 23-25 foot center console, but my wife would like to do other things besides fish. Travel coastal Maine for example. Also, while we have a house in Maine and will be selling the house in MA, if we need some extra money one year, we could always live on the boat for a week or two and rent out the Maine house on the ocean for 2 grand a week. So I will be comprimising as well. Thought something like this may suite both our needs. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...1&photo=1&url=
I took my sons fishing as often as I could, thier now 25 and 27. Now, thier my fishing partners. Now, we take my grandson Ethan fishing. Here he is with his first ever striper. I just stood back and watched as he brought this nice fish on the boat (with some help from my son) I'll love that moment forever, my sons, grandson, and I. What more can I say.
