Jim, got my reel today, Thank you very much!!!! I had never seen a Tica, looks like a nice reel, can't wait to use it. I think I'll spool it with power pro. Thanks again Jim!!!

Yea Jim, i just got a reel in the mail too. Thanks a bunch my friend, its already been a great xmas. If i didnt get another present, i'd be happy. Powerpro will also be going on my new Tica reel too.

jim,
got my reel in the mail today. wanted to say a thanks from deep within. the prize wasnt necessary and goes to show how wonderful and thoughtful the people of this site are. im glad to be a member and i hope to be a lifelong member. i look forward to many great memories and stories with you all. happy holidays to all on the board. this is what it's all about.

congrats to winners! for x-mas i'm getting a tsunami 12' extra heavy casting rod for my lonely 525 mag penn who's not happy on my 11ft tica casting rod.(spoiling that reel i tell ya) oh, and a new 11ft ugly stik which will house my penn5500 that i had serviced so i'm set for the wash, the flats,the pier. the lagoon(you have got to see the schoolies in march at the lagoon jim.

wow! you guys fish with 11 and 12 footers out in the flats? thats some big hardware :)
Actually I once saw a guy out at the 101 bridge in the marsh with a 15 footah lol

Wowzah lol. On average, I use an assortment of 7 footers in the marsh. And I have an 8.5' Ugly Stik IntraCoastal I use sometimes. I know a few people who take big thick 9 and 10 foot Ugly Stik heavers out there. It must feel like your fishin with a pool cue lol.

the ugly stiks for surf fishing, my tica is light enough.plus i have a couple of old flukin rods that have really good bends to them and it;s fun using different stuff, hey i use a 7ft penn boat rod with a magged out penn 350 boat reel to fish off the pier as well. too many ways to catch fish
